"We left this place feeling more relaxed than we arrived - such a beautiful location, it's a hidden gem. From start to end we had incredible service, always with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The room was highly modern and tastefully decorated - we could not flaw it! The shower was a spa experience in itself. There are extra goodies that are just so appreciated such as a small make up kit (eg. cotton buds, face pads) and a Sunday's paper on leaving.
"The restaurant was the highlight. There is a separate vegetarian menu that was highly welcomed and what we received was undoubtedly the best vege meal we have 'ever' had. Dessert and breakfast were just as impeccable, and would stay and eat all day if I could - kudos to the chef and team!!
"Will be back, what an experience. Will not be forgotten and I doubt beaten."

"Great relaxing atmosphere, fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. The food was very tasty, well presented and plenty of it. The sauna,mineral sauna and pools were so relaxing and refreshing. View of the lake was a peaceful feeling and walking along the waters edge was lovely."

"My wife and I spent the most amazing weekend at Wai Ora. The service is exemplary and the food is Michelin Star quality without the pomp and circumstance. The staff are incredibly helpful. Thye seem to appear when you need them and blend into the background when you don't.
"AMAZING spa facilities with private spas, public spas, heated pools, massage facilities and everything needed to relax. Pools surrounded by beautiful NZ ferns, and trees. I would love to come back immediately."

We stayed for 2 nights for a couples get away in mid-December. We really enjoyed the quiet location, the staff were wonderfully helpful, and the restauant fantastic. The Breakfast included package was excellent and overall great value.

"We spent two nights in Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort and it was one of the best places we stayed at in New Zealand. This brand new resort can boast a beautiful and quiet location along the lake shore just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Rotorua (but far enough to stay away from the overwhelming smell of sulphur). The rooms are modern, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated with a big comfortable bed, TV, tea/coffee facility, complimentary fruits and a nice bathroom with a wide choice of complimentary cosmetics. Breakfasts a la carte are truly delicious (their croissants can compete with the best French ones) and there is nothing nicer than sitting in the sun on the terrace, sipping your morning coffee and staring at the blue surface of the lake. There is a small swimming pool and a spa in the resort, however we didn't have time to enjoy any of them. It is a perfect place for everybody who wants to relax in beautiful surroundings and stay in close proximity to all attractions Rotorua has on offer."

"We arrived to New Zealand and went straight to Rotarua and Wai Ora. After three weeks traveling the country, the hospitality we received at Wai Ora is one of the first things to mention when recounting the trip. Bryan was fabulous, and seemed to be a personal concierege! Breakfast was the best I had in NZ! Very comfortable rooms. The property is right on Lake Rotarua creating a great view. Make sure to hit up the hot tub at night for star gazing. I definitely recommend Wai Ora!"

"My companion and I had an AMAZING time at the Wai Ora Resort! The grounds are beautiful (so close to the lake!), spa treatments were relaxing and worth every cent and the food was to die for! The facility was only surpassed in brilliance by the friendly and genuinely helpful staff. Will definitely be back for longer next time"
